How to create a subdomain

A subdomain such as blog.yourdomain.com or shop.yourdomain.com is a separate section of your website with its own folder.

Step-by-step

1. Log in to cPanel and open Domains (or Subdomains).
2. Enter the subdomain name and choose the parent domain.
3. Confirm or set the document root folder, then click Create.
4. Upload the subdomain website files to that folder.

Tips

Subdomains resolve almost immediately on your own hosting. If you use external DNS, add a matching record there too.
