How to reset your WordPress admin password

If you are locked out of your WordPress dashboard, you can reset the admin password in a couple of ways.

By email

1. Go to your wp-login.php page and click Lost your password?.
2. Enter your admin email and follow the reset link.

From the database

If the email does not arrive, open phpMyAdmin, edit the wp_users table, and set a new value for user_pass using the MD5 function. Save, then log in with the new password.
